Infant and Middle Reading Program

Two reading programs exist namely:

  • Lower School Reading Programme
  • Middle School Reading Programme

The programs for a basic reading progression supported by supplementary reading.

Library reading must be controlled and recorded.

An important part of the use of the program is the need to show great care of the books, and teachers must be diligent in ‘preaching’ care and enforcing it. This care must also extend to the program sheets themselves.

The school reading program must be organized centrally if maximum efficiency is to be obtained
